Christchurch Pride Week 2010 (10 to 16 May) will be a week full of the best events of Pride Weeks past, as well as some new surprises!
Christchurch Bears are gearing up for the second ManZone party of 2010, ManZone 2: Rough Trade (mechanics, military, leather). One of the event Organisers says, “we were stoked with the turn out for ManZone 1: SSS (Shorts, Sports and Speedos). The XO Club was packed with around eighty guys. It was wall to wall fur! We can’t wait to see the dress-up efforts for Rough Trade.”
On Tuesday the Christchurch GBA (Business Association) hosts its popular Bizwits event at the Elevate Bar & Function Centre in Cashmere. Suzy Lawson of GBA says, “We’re pleased to present Christchurch Mayor, the Hon. Bob Parker, as our Keynote Speaker this year.”
The Get it On! Fantasy Ball on 15 May welcomes back Miss Glorious Ole, all the way from Hamilton. The Glorious one can’t wait to perform alongside her Garden City sisters Miss Cindy and Little Miss Cinnamon plus MC partner Miss Mole. The organisers say: “Expect a night of adult fairy tale escapades.”
Garden City lesbians will gather at the Women’s Star Show party at Iconic on 14 May. The organisers say “the queer women of Christchurch love to party, so we’re looking forward a great night. Expect a fun, sexy time with guest Drag King Jak TwistD from Auckland.”
